This portmanteau film brings together the work of four emerging artists from literature, visual arts and the moving image.
Total runtime 90min
Using the Greek myth of Philomela as a point of departure, this portmanteau film brings together the work of four emerging artists from literature, visual arts and the moving image in order to address the virtual absence of black female and female-identified voices in the field of artists’ moving image. It offers an opportunity to see a new and exciting range of styles and approaches, from the polyphonic to the deeply personal, from Phoebe Boswell, Beverley Bennett, Nicola Thomas and Jay Bernard.
Joint ticket available with Testaments: Stories and their Makers £10.
