When an old legal document is unearthed following the detonation of a Second World War bomb, the area now known as Pimlico is deemed to be part of Burgundy. This causes friction with the British government and an escalation in hostilities results in a series of classic Ealing-esque comedy set-pieces. This is a savvy take on the post-war British mindset and an homage to the community spirit that saw the country through its darkest hours.

‘I love old films and the cosy nature of them. The story is very clever and funny, and still stands up today. I also love the old footage of London.’
