It’s... Monty Python at 50

UK 2010
Dir Aubrey Powell
With Eric Idle, Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam
Certificate PG

Following the hugely successful adaptation of Monty Python and the Holy Grail into the stage musical Spamalot, Eric Idle (and John Du Prez) created a spectacular one-off at the Albert Hall: an intentionally over-the-top musical re-interpretation of Monty Python’s Life of Brian. With lots of special guests (including Neil Innes and Carol Cleveland) and rousing support from the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus this very special occasion was recorded for posterity and we are delighted to announce this screening as a late addition to our season.
