Ace screenwriter Lydia Hayward’s adorable romance concerns a spoiled young aristocrat cut off by his exasperated father and reduced to living in a Bloomsbury boarding house, run by the impoverished Annie who’s hindered by her dysfunctional family of tenants. Particularly enjoyable is Mickey Brantford, a sprightly 12-year-old, whose take on Lon Chaney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame has to be seen to be believed.

Live piano accompaniment will be from John Sweeney.
