New Writings: The Watergate Burglars by Shane O’Sullivan

On the 50th anniversary of the Watergate break-in we host an illustrated talk by author and filmmaker Dr Shane O’Sullivan (Kingston School of Art), who will explore the era on screen, and how thrillers like The Conversation, Scorpio and All the President’s Men can be read in the context of the break-in and investigation that followed. O’Sullivan will lay bare thought-provoking parallels between cinema and the notorious burglars who planted bugs in Democratic National Committee headquarters 50 years ago.
