Dir Krzysztof Krauze
With Krystyna Feldman, Roman Gancarczyk, Jerzy Gudejko
Following the final years of naïve painter Nikifor Krynicki, My Nikifor reveals not only the challenges of his life as an outsider in 1960s Poland, but also of a wider world where tough choices between family and social responsibility must be made. Written and developed by Kos-Krauze with her late husband, the film enjoyed international acclaim –especially for the virtuoso, understated performance by Feldman.
Screening is part of 16th Kinoteka Polish Film Festival in London (7-29 March, kinoteka.org.uk).
