Animator, director and illustrator Michael Dudok de Wit (Father and Daughter, The Red Turtle) introduces short films by the great multi-award winning Russian animator Yuri Norstein. This selection will include The Heron and the Crane (1975), Hedgehog in the Fog (1975) and Tale of Tales (1979). A 2015 article in The Washington Post claimed that Norstein ‘is considered by many to be not just the best animator of his era, but the best of all time.’
