Newly widowed Marlina (Timothy) receives an unexpected and unwelcome visit from gang leader Markus (Fedly). He invites himself into her home, demands food for his gang of bandits and announces that they will take everything she has and, if time allows, will sleep with her. Let’s just say that Marlina doesn’t exactly yield to their demands... The third feature from Mouly Surya (Fiksi, What They Don’t Talk About When They Talk About Love) intelligently blends the western genre and arthouse sensibilities, imbuing the western with a distinctively feminist perspective. This film demands to be seen on the big screen.
