Multi-award-winning director Leonard Retel Helmrich spent a year and a half following a handful of lively and resilient characters in a refugee camp in Lebanon: a love-sick young man, eager to marry despite everyone telling him he’s not ready; a woman passionate about teaching at the camp, but feels immense pressure to return to Syria despite the dangers that await; and a family torn apart when a husband marries a second wife.
