Dysfunction and shame will spread when left to fester. Some 20 years on from Arcadia, our protagonists find themselves clawing towards human connection across a void of isolation. Mirroring the parents they were once so contemptuous of, our rebellious teens-turned-disenchanted adults struggle to break free of a seemingly continuous cycle. Newly restored under Haneke’s supervision, this is a tense and moving depiction of intergenerational conflict, and the helplessness it breeds.
Contains themes of abortion, incest, self-harm and suicide.
Joint ticket available with Lemmings, Part 1 – Arcadia on the same date £17, concessions £14 (members pay £2.50 less). Book in person at the box office or by phone on 020 7928 3232.
