Will (Foster), a war veteran suffering from PTSD, lives with his teenage daughter Tom (McKenzie) in a vast urban park in Portland, Oregon. When their off-the-grid life is discovered by authorities, they are forced into social services, who try to make them reinstate themselves into 'normal society'. After clashing with the system they were trying to avoid in the first place, father and daughter embark on a journey to a place where they can truly belong. Director Debra Granik (Winter's Bone) makes a long-awaited return with this sensitive and emotionally powerful film that explores fatherhood, trauma and belonging.

All screenings will have Audio Description. The screening on Monday 9 July 18:30 Studio will be with Hearing Impaired Subtitles.

Tickets on sale Wednesday 4 July to BFI Champions from 11:30, to BFI Members from 12:30, to the public from 16:00.
