Danny Kaye revels in his zany comedy antics, this time as a psychologically troubled ventriloquist. In her first and last experience in Hollywood, Zetterling plays the psychiatrist who cures his marriage aversion in more ways than one. It’s a somewhat thankless role that she fulfils convincingly and with more than a little charm.
The screening of Knock on Wood on Wednesday 7 May 18:10 NFT2 will be introduced by Professor Louis Lemkow, Mai Zetterling’s son.
