This ‘passengers in peril’ drama brings together an assortment of characters and explores their reactions to a life-threatening situation. Zetterling gives a finely tuned performance as the wife of Attenborough’s troubled traveller. There’s an all-star supporting cast headed by Stanley Baker as the pilot, with comic relief supplied by the enjoyable flirtation between Sybil Thorndike and Harry Secombe.
