A French army officer (Grant) meets a US Lieutenant (Sheridan) in post-war Germany and, after initially fighting, they fall for each other. But if he’s to make it to the US he’ll need to be smuggled out by temporarily joining the women’s core, and dressing accordingly. Grant may have been an unlikely Frenchman, but yet again he proved himself a genius in the realm of physical comedy and versatility.
