In Pursuit of Silence
+ intro and discussion
Exploring the words of Lao Tzu, ‘silence is a source of great strength’, this documentary encourages us to really observe the world around us.
USA-China-Germany-Hong Kong-UK 2015. 81min
The second in our trio of screenings presented in partnership with Citizen Autistic: The London Autism Film Club, this contemplative, richly sensory documentary is about humankind’s millennia-long fascination with silence and its supposed healing properties for both body and mind. Shifting in time and space, the film shows that true silence has long been pursued yet remains just beyond our grasp.
Presented in partnership with Citizen Autistic: The London Autism Film Club.
Relaxed screenings are presented each month for those in the neurodiverse community and their assistants and carers. More detailed information can be found at bfi.org.uk/relaxed.
