14 to 17 August 2023
10:30 to 16:00, BFI Southbank, 4 sessions

The unknown and the horrifying have always fascinated filmmakers. How do we explore the supernatural and imaginary on film? Students will learn techniques to create mystique and suspense, and to subvert their own and the audience’s expectations.
For four consecutive days at BFI Southbank, children will get hands-on experience working in a team to develop their filmmaking skills and learn about the filmmaking process from concept to completion, advancing their creative and communication skills, and boosting their confidence.
Please email Lead Tutor sa-ra.zwarteveen@bfi.org.uk if you have any questions. We reserve the right to change or cancel this workshop in accordance with government guidelines.
