Susan and Anne are best friends who share a Manhattan apartment. When Anne abruptly announces she is moving out to get married, Susan struggles with Anne’s decision, while also having problems paying the rent and pursuing both her professional passions and potential romantic encounters. Weill’s film is a remarkably honest and complex portrait of women’s lives and female friendship. It’s a gem of American independent filmmaking.
