Waad al-Kateab falls in love, gets married and gives birth to Sama during the uprising in Aleppo, Syria. Filming all the time, her camera intimately captures moments of tenderness, laughter, loss, survival and resistance, as Waad tries to decide whether to flee the city to protect her daughter, when leaving means abandoning the political struggle for which she had already sacrificed so much.
