Crème de la Crime Fun Filmmaking... Inspired by Bugsy Malone

Our fun filmmaking day for children inspired by Bugsy Malone.

Image from Bugsy Malone

10:30–16:30
Suitable for 8 to 12-year-olds (children work in age-appropriate groups)

Anyone who has watched Bugsy Malone remembers the Splurge guns – shooting out dollops of whipped cream – and also the music of course! We’ll be having tons of fun at this filmmaking day, coming up with scripts that combine a bit of crime with a lot of cream... but don’t worry, the magic of editing and SFX will ensure no one goes home covered in a gloopy mess!

We’ll also be adding lots of music and singing to the films that will recreate a musical film effect – and don’t worry if your child doesn’t like either music or singing! Or dancing for that matter! But if they do they will hugely enjoy adding their talents to the finished production.

Tickets £37.50 per child, siblings £22

Experienced film tutors support and lead the activity. For more info contact: joanna.vandermeer@bfi.org.uk

Final films will be posted to our YouTube channel.

Children are left for the duration and must bring a packed lunch and wear comfortable clothes.

This activity may be cancelled if not enough ticket sales are achieved but in the rare case of this happening you will be informed and will receive a full refund or be transferred to another activity dependent on your wishes. We apologise in advance should this be the case but will always try to keep disruption to a minimum.
