Collection Focus: Kenneth Anger – May 2024
In May, the library focuses on underground filmmaker and author Kenneth Anger.
‘Making a movie is casting a spell’ – Kenneth Anger.
Actor, author and auteur Kenneth Anger wrote about sex, magick and scandal – most famously in his book Hollywood Babylon. Anger’s controversial film career stretched over six decades and explored sexual awakenings and symbolism. For the whole of May, material by and about the writer, filmmaker and all-round provocateur will be on display in the library reading room.
See the Experimenta Kenneth Anger event on Saturday 11 May.
