The BFI and Women in Film & Television (UK) are delighted to present the 25th-anniversary screening of WFTV Patron Gurinder Chadha’s debut feature film, Bhaji on the Beach, a comedy-drama that uses a day trip to Blackpool as a way to look at issues in the British Asian community – where old traditions and new ways make for uncomfortable situations. Chadha, now recognised as the most prolific woman making feature films in the UK, will take part in a post-screening Q&A hosted by WFTV’s CEO, Kate Kinninmont.
