A filmmaker (Malkovich) considering material for his next film relates four stories linked in one way or another to love or sex – each adapted from a vignette in Antonioni’s book That Bowling Alley on the Tiber. Perhaps inevitably, especially since the film was completed by Wenders after Antonioni suffered a stroke, the film is uneven, but there are undoubtedly moments of that old mysterious magic.

The screening on Sunday 17 February features a Q&A with Enrica Fico Antonioni.
