It’s 1940 and a group of children are evacuated from London during the Blitz to coastal Dorset. Little do they know that their host, Miss Price, is a trainee witch. After a trip on a magical bed to play football against some animated wild animals, the group are confronted by a military invasion and Miss Price must summon all her magical powers to save them. Mary Poppins director Stevenson once again delivered a hit with this sparkling adaptation of Mary Norton’s novel.
