Join tutor John Wischmeyer for a six-week evening course on Barbara Stanwyck. Brooklyn-born Ruby Stevens was orphaned at four, a Ziegfeld girl by 16, and went on to become an icon of cinema – a worldly and independent woman in a man’s world. We will screen and discuss a wide range of Stanwyck’s movies, from wild screwball comedy to darkest noir, from The Lady Eve to Forty Guns.
