Member Exclusive: Archive Tour
Champions and Members shouldn’t miss the chance to come along and see rarely viewed materials and hear from our film restoration experts.
Friday 24 January
10:30-13:30 BFI National Archive, Berkhamsted
Applications for the Archive Tour ballot are now closed.
We try to schedule at least two Archive Tours a year, which are subject to ballot as places are so limited. We hope to announce the date of the next tour in Spring 2020, so look out for details in emails from BFI Membership and/or in the BFI Southbank Guide.
“It was a revelation and a delight to learn about this institution.”

Don’t miss your chance to see behind the scenes at one of the largest moving-image collections in the world. See rarely viewed film materials and find out from our expert team how films are stored and restored. The tour lasts roughly two hours and will be followed by light refreshments.
We offer two to three tours every year exclusively for Members and a guest. The tour takes place at the BFI National Archive in Berkhamsted and lasts approximately two hours followed by light refreshments.
Champions and Members can apply to the ballot for up to two paid tickets (at £25 each) in the ballot which runs until 12:00 midnight on Sunday 8 December. Please be aware that tickets to these events are not refundable, exchangeable or transferable.
Please note, this tour will finish at 13:30 (not 13:00 as per page 9 of the BFI Southbank Guide).
