One of the first modern lunar New Year blockbusters – released to coincide with the larger movie audience at that time of year – this Hong Kong comedy has an all-star cast in a tale of sibling rivalry, as three brothers fib and play pranks to win parental approval. This ‘mo lei tau’ (a film of little sense but lots of good-natured humour) is now considered a beloved classic by most Chinese audiences.
