We offer a number of accessible screenings and events, and will make reasonable efforts to meet any additional requirements within available resources.

Accessible screenings at BFI Southbank

For customers who are D/deaf or people experiencing hearing loss:

  • SDH: On-screen subtitles including descriptions of non-dialogue audio
  • BSL: British Sign Language interpreted introductions, Q&As and events

For customers who are blind or partially-sighted:

  • AD: Films with an audio-description soundtrack via infra-red headsets

For customers who are part of the neurodiverse community, their assistants and carers:

  • RELAXED Screenings where house lights will remain on a low level, the volume will be turned slightly down, and you will be able to make noise. There will also be a quiet space for you to use near the auditorium and you can leave and return at any point during the screening.

Access tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and subject to BFI Membership priority booking periods.

A number of tickets have been set aside for customers with specific seating requirements, including aisle seats for guests with restricted mobility.

We welcome CEA Cardholders (enabling card holder to one free companion ticket).
