Shot on dreamy Super 8 by an all-woman crew, Wildwood, NJ travels along a boardwalk, introducing us to a host of unforgettable characters – from go-go dancers and pre-teen brats to goths working as vampires in the boardwalk’s haunted house. It is a fascinating collage that captures the nostalgia of summer-filled memories, shining a light on a range of topics important to the vibrant lives of these women, who live in the last great New Jersey carnival town.
Restored digitally by the American Genre Film Archive.
