Made in Britain: Warp Films at 10
Warp Films Shorts Programme
A selection of outstanding shorts from the likes of Lynne Ramsay, Chris Cunningham, Paddy Considine, Paul Fraser and Matthew Holness.
From the start Warp Films has valued the short film format like no other, bringing through new talent, merging disciplines, and realising artistic visions. My Wrongs 8245-8249 & 117 (2005) was a debut for both Warp and director Chris Morris, winning a BAFTA for Best Short Film, and set the exacting standard Warp Films has followed since. From the disturbingly visceral to the disquietingly beautiful, from the tragi-comic to crushed lives and sink hole estates, Warp Films lay claim to a unique canon. Programme includes work by Lynne Ramsay, Chris Cunningham, Paddy Considine, Paul Fraser and Matthew Holness.
Following the shorts programme we will welcome the director and the producer of A Gun for George Matthew Holness and Ally Gipps for a Q&A hosted by Kate Taylor. The shorts programme is now confirmed as: My Wrongs 8245-8249 and 117 (2002) 12min, Scummy Man (2006) 16min, Dog Altogether (2007) 16min, Curtains (2009) 15min, A Gun for George (2011) 17min and Swimmer (2012) 18min.
