Discounted tickets if you get Universal Credit

If you get Universal Credit, Pension Credit or Jobseekers allowance, we offer £4 tickets for standard screenings booked in advance, and on-the-day tickets for special events and previews – subject to availability.

Sign up at the box office before you book and bring two documents to confirm you’re eligible:

  • a letter, dated within the last 3 months, from HMRC or the Department of Work and Pensions
  • another form of ID, like your passport or driving license

After you’ve signed up, you can log in and book £4 tickets online, any time. After one year, we’ll ask you to confirm you’re still eligible at the box office.

Full terms and conditions

  • Discount valid for customers in receipt of Universal or Pension Credit, or Jobseekers Allowance, on presentation of a valid letter (dated within three months of date of presentation) from Department of Work and Pensions or HMRC
  • Discounted tickets are available in advance for regular screenings, and from midnight on the day of the screening for special events and previews
  • Tickets are limited to one per person and are not transferable
  • Ticket prices are subject to change
  • Discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer
  • This offer does not apply to general release titles at the BFI IMAX
  • By signing up to this scheme, you give permission for the BFI to contact you by email. We will not share your data with third parties and you can unsubscribe at any time
  • The BFI reserves the rights to withdraw the discount offer at any time without prior notice
  • The BFI reserves the right to limit the number of tickets available for screenings and to exclude specific screenings from the offer without prior notice
