A chef and a schoolteacher suddenly break up, with very different consequences for their futures. Adapted from Michela Murgia’s final, partly autobiographical, novel, Three Goodbyes is a moving account of emotional turmoil and reconciliation. Spanish director Coixet’s (My Life without Me) beautifully made Italian melodrama profits from the excellent central performances of Rohrwacher and Germano.
