Free admission to films showing at the BFI Southbank on Sunday 9 December.
On 9 December we are taking part in The National Lottery #ThanksToYou campaign by offering FREE ADMISSION to film enthusiasts who play The National Lottery.
Throughout the year the BFI uses National Lottery funding to support film culture across the UK, backing bold and original storytellers, giving audiences across the UK the chance to see the world’s best films and nurturing the very best in UK filmmaking talent.
To say thank you to National Lottery players we’re offering free admission to any show on Sunday 9 December. To take advantage of this offer just come along on the day and simply show a valid National Lottery ticket (paper or digital) and claim up to two free tickets to any film screening on that day.

Terms and conditions
- One National Lottery ticket provides free entry for up to two people to any film of their choosing at BFI Southbank on Sunday 9th December 2018, providing that the screening is not at full capacity, and subject to standard film age certification regulations.
- A total of 50 free cinema tickets are available on the day on a first-come-first-served basis.
- All National Lottery games qualify for free entry (including both National Lottery draw-based games and National Lottery Scratchcards). Proof of purchase of a National Lottery game can be either a hard copy ticket or a digital ticket.
- Multiple lines on National Lottery tickets do not qualify for additional free cinema tickets.
- The offer is valid on Sunday 9 December 2018 only. The BFI Southbank box office is open 11:00 - 20:30.
- BFI Southbank has the right to refuse entry in the unlikely event of the venue reaching capacity as well as other circumstances outside of its control.
- Tickets will be given at the BFI Southbank box office when visitors arrive with their National Lottery tickets.
- Free tickets can only be claimed, in person, on Sunday 9 December 2018. They cannot be booked in advance and are not available online.
- The promoter is BFI Southbank.
- In the event of queries on the day, the manager’s decision is final.
- Free tickets have no cash value.
Waterloo Bridge (near BFI Southbank) will be closed on 7 June Sunday between 7am and 7pm. BFI Southbank will be closed Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 June due to a private event.
