Bruce LaBruce’s lively, satirical fake-documentary about struggling, Warhol-esque porn film maker Butt Double – played by the filmmaker – features a litany of sexual-scenarios, employing multiple films-within-films to track the internalised drama of its characters and their power plays. Vaginal Davis and others feature in cameo, while director LaBruce relishes the chance to reconfigure traditional documentary and pornographic film.
