Two married, down-on-their-luck cabaret performers try to survive the Second World War in this bittersweet comic musical. Vitti showcases her talents as a singer and dancer alongside legendary comedian and director Sordi. Stardust is both a darkly comic look at the influence of the American ‘liberators’ in Italy and an homage to the golden age of Italian variety shows.
