A motorcycle gang of greasers roars into a small southern American town in the 1950s, looking for fun and unsettling the locals. Vance, the gang’s charismatic leader soon hooks up with the troubled daughter of a local businessman, raising the temperature further. Co-directed with Monty Montgomery (who went on to produce David Lynch’s Wild at Heart), former artist Bigelow’s feature debut is a blisteringly raw, angry and lust-charged drama, dominated by a charismatic Willem Dafoe in his big screen debut.
Contains scenes of suicide.
