Justin Lin’s (Star Trek Beyond, Fast X) return to independent cinema details the tragic events surrounding modern-day Christian missionary John Allen Chau’s attempt to convert the inhabitants of the remote North Sentinel Island, who have had no contact with the outside world. The film premiered to acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival and stars impressive newcomer Sky Yang, who was discovered by Lin three years ago at a MilkTea event here at BFI Southbank.
