The Journey (Parts 13 to 16)
Now shaping the scope and length of his work with almost no reference to traditional cinematic presentation, Peter Watkins’ richly rewarding film is epic in form but can be experienced in episodes, allowing more space for debate and reflection.

An internationally funded, immersive education project, The Journey simultaneously updates the scenario featured in The War Game, about the nuclear threat, while critiquing manipulative and mainstream media practice, and documenting a dialogue between several families separated by geography and ideology. An astonishing achievement, The Journey has lost none of its power, encouraging feelings of hope and utility as we meet our current cataclysms.
