A film about ‘a woman in trouble’, Inland Empire follows an actress cast in an impossible film, who finds it difficult to navigate the blurred lines between reality and artifice. Her descent is perfectly portrayed by Laura Dern in another great Lynch collaboration. Shot without a script and on digital video – ‘giving more room to dream’ – Lynch’s final feature is a gripping experimental masterpiece.

The screening on Saturday 10 January will be presented with Descriptive subtitles.

The screening of Inland Empire on Thursday 8 January will be introduced by Sam Wigley, BFI Digital Features Editor at Sight and Sound.
