Rodeo riders, ghosts, political rebels and Reilly’s Buffalo Bill all feature in this weird, wild and wacky Spaghetti Western. Channelling the influence of Sergio Leone and Sergio Corbucci – masters of the European Western – Righi and Zoppis also tip their hats to Robert Altman’s 1970s revisionist take on the genre, McCabe and Mrs Miller, delivering a hugely enjoyable, picaresque and blacky comic proto-feminist horse opera.
