Due to a clerical error, Alastair Sim’s jittery headmaster must host female students sent to his all-boys school by Margaret Rutherford’s unflinching headmistress. The pair scramble to hide the mix-up from unsuspecting visitors and parents. One of the finest British comedies from the legendary team of Frank Launder and Sidney Gilliat, The Happiest Days of Your Life hilariously skewers bureaucracy while joyfully celebrating chaos.
