Concierge Monsieur Gustave and his protégé Zero provide first-class service at the titular Grand Budapest Hotel until Monsieur Gustave finds himself implicated in the murder of a guest. The hotel becomes one of the main characters in this ensemble piece allowing Anderson’s signature bright colour palette, intricate art direction and symmetrical framing to shine.
