Kaiabi turns the camera on his own family, in the Xingu – a region that runs alongside a tributary of the Amazon River – where his father is a pastor and his uncle a shaman. As evangelical missions advance across the territory, Kaibi records the rift opening within his community and his own home. It’s a powerful first-person film about faith, loss and the fight to keep ancestral ways alive.
