Unfathomably rare – it previously screened decades ago – and with only a handful of film elements known to exist, Dream of a World was written and directed by Watkins’ co-writer on The Gladiators. Relocating the politics of the Vietnam War to an anarchic, post-1968 UK, this urgent, imaginative film illustrates the power of Watkins’ influence. It screens from a digital scan made from compromised materials.
