Directed by the only known female filmmaker on the 1960s US sexploitation scene, the grimy Another Day, Another Man follows Ann, who decides to become a New York sex worker when her husband succumbs to a mysterious ailment. While in the camp, comedic and explicit Elevator Girls in Bondage, the trans and drag female staff in a cheap, seedy San Francisco apartment block rise-up in a Marxist-inspired revolution.
Contains scenes of unsimulated sex.
The screening of Another Day, Another Man + Elevator Girls in Bondage on Wednesday 22 April will be introduced by film scholar and critic Dr Elena Gorfinkel.
Waterloo Bridge (near BFI Southbank) will be closed on 7 June Sunday between 7am and 7pm. BFI Southbank will be closed Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 June due to a private event.
