Crystal Moselle’s coming-of-age drama follows a group of young women navigating friendship, identity and independence through skateboarding on the streets of New York. Inspired by the real-life Skate Kitchen collective and featuring many of its members, the film blends fiction with documentary to authentically capture the style, energy and community of a new generation of skaters.
