Director Lawrence Moore and artist Keith Critchlow examine patterns that occur across nature and religious buildings in the 1977 film Reflection: A Film about Time and Relatedness (57min). Sacred geometry proposes that mathematical principles exist in nature, ascribing them with symbolic meaning, and their film illustrates these ideas in sequences atmospherically soundtracked by folk and progressive rock musicians Mike and Sally Oldfield.

From the close study of flower patterns to the examination of church and temple architecture, stone circles and mazes, this mysterious, beautifully-photographed film reflects on the interplay between humans and the natural environment. We are sorry to announce that the scheduled Q&A for this event has been cancelled. We apologise for any disappointment. The screening will be introduced by strand programmer William Fowler.
