BBC 2025. 60min. Total running time 100min
This adaptation – the first for television – of William Golding’s acclaimed debut novel, Lord of the Flies tells the story of a group of schoolboys stranded on a deserted island. It’s an uncompromising tale of their fight for survival. Initially, the small group coexist peacefully. But then the ‘beast’ inside creates factions, leading to tragedy. It’s an arresting portrait of the fine line between civilisation and barbarity.
