French billionaire Jean-Marc Clément learns that he is going be satirised in an off-Broadway show. When he visits the offending theatre, he falls for Amanda, one of the players. Although this was one of Monroe’s least favourite roles and only undertaken to complete a studio contract, Let’s Make Love holds up as a showcase for her exquisite command of song and dance.
