French billionaire Jean-Marc Clément learns that he is going be satirised in an off-Broadway show. When he visits the offending theatre, he falls for Amanda, one of the players. Although this was one of Monroe’s least favourite roles and only undertaken to complete a studio contract, Let’s Make Love holds up as a showcase for her exquisite command of song and dance. Her seductive rendition of My Heart Belongs to Daddy is an electric highlight.

The screening of Let’s Make Love on Tuesday 30 June will include an introduction.
