This engrossing documentary is one of the best dance films ever made, offering intimate access to one of the world’s great ballet companies, its stars and retinue during preparations for seven productions. ‘It’s about rhythm,’ a ballerina is advised during rehearsal. The same could be said of this engrossing film as it wends its way through the Palais Garnier, from basement to rooftop beehive.
